Korona Kielce Dominate Lechia Gdańsk to Extend Home Streak
Korona Kielce unstoppable at home! With a brace from Wiktor Długosz and a late strike by Martin Remacle, the “Złocisto-Krwiści” crushed Lechia Gdańsk 3-0 on Matchday 10 of the Ekstraklasa, extending their winning streak at the EXBUD Arena.
High-Voltage Start
The game kicked off with instant drama. In just the 3rd minute, Tomasz Neugebauer rattled the post with a long-range effort that could have completely changed the course of the match. That moment woke up the hosts, who immediately ramped up their intensity. In the 16th minute, Marcel Pięczek broke free down the right flank and delivered a perfect cross into the box, where Wiktor Długosz arrived at the right time to finish calmly and put Korona in front. The EXBUD Arena erupted, and momentum shifted firmly to the home side.
Lechia Pushes, Korona Holds
Lechia tried to respond after going behind. Dawid Kurminowski had the best chance to equalize in the 25th minute but failed to convert his header as Dziekoński stood firm in goal. The rest of the first half turned into an intense midfield battle, with Korona displaying discipline and shutting down spaces. The hosts went into halftime with a slim 1-0 lead but knew the job was far from done.

Długosz at the Double
The second half opened with Korona pressing high and pushing for a second goal. Pięczek forced Paulsen into a strong save with a shot from distance, and from the resulting corner, the stadium witnessed a moment of brilliance. In the 51st minute, Długosz scored his second of the game with an acrobatic finish, sending the home fans into a frenzy. Lechia did have a chance to get back into the game, but Mena’s powerful strike crashed off the post — a sign that it just wasn’t their day.
Remacle Seals the Deal
The match’s turning point came in the 79th minute when Miłosz Kałahur was shown a straight red card for bringing down Długosz on a dangerous breakaway. With Lechia down to 10 men, Korona took full control. In the 87th minute, Martin Remacle put the final nail in the coffin, smashing home after collecting his own rebound to make it 3-0. The EXBUD Arena celebrated another dominant home win — Korona’s fourth in a row — proving once again that this ground is becoming one of the toughest places to visit in the Ekstraklasa.
