New England Revolution head coach Marko Mitrovic believes his side are beginning to put together all the pieces as they aim to keep up their strong start in MLS against CF Montreal.

The Revs were winless in two matches, heading into the World Cup break on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Charlotte FC before drawing 0-0 with Toronto FC in their first game back.

However, they put those results behind them in style last time out as they thumped Atlanta United 4-1, with four different goalscorers coming to the fore at Gillette Stadium.

It leaves New England third in the Eastern Conference, 10 points behind leaders Nashville SC, though they have a game in hand on the top two.

And Mitrovic is thrilled with the cohesiveness he has seen from his side in recent games, though he now wants to see that consistently across 90 minutes.

"We showed in a good amount of the games certain things that kind of get together, and the team has a strong belief and confidence in certain things that we're doing," he said.

"But I still think we can improve and get better. Every player can contribute in a given moment, and that doesn't just mean an assist or goal.

"Like who leads to that? Because it's not just about those players but how the ball gets there, so we're putting all the pieces together, and we had moments like that against Atlanta, but there are still moments that we can recognize how to behave better."

As for Montreal, they are winless in their last six MLS games (D3 L3) and have failed to score since returning from the World Cup break.

Their last win did come on home soil – a 2-0 victory over Orlando City SC – and they will be desperate to get three points on Saturday, as they sit 13th in the East.

Each of Montreal's last two matches were 1-0 defeats with the lone goal coming from the penalty spot.

Sebastian Breza only faced three shots on target across those two games, and as such only made one save, leading to an even more frustrating defeat in both cases.

New England Revolution – Peyton Miller

Peyton Miller scored in his 50th regular-season appearance Saturday.

At 18 years and 259 days old, Miller is the ninth-youngest player to reach 50 MLS games and the third-youngest to score in that landmark appearance after Diego Fagundez (18y 206d) for New England in 2013 and Alphonso Davies (17y 219d) for the Vancouver Whitecaps in 2018.

New England have won their last two away matches against Montreal by a combined score of 8-0.

The Revolution are one of just five MLS teams to have outscored an opponent by eight or more goals in a span of two regular-season away matches.

Montreal are winless in six straight regular-season matches (D3 L3), failing to score in each of the last three. This marks the fourth time since the start of last season that Montreal have gone scoreless in at least three straight matches, including a four-match run without a goal in March 2025, but they are still expected to use their home advantage to end that streak.

New England's 4-1 victory over Atlanta was their eighth win in their last 12 regular-season matches (D2 L2) dating back to the beginning of April. Only Inter Miami (27) have collected more points than the Revolution's 26 (tied with Nashville SC) since the start of April.
