Inter Miami owner confirms interest in Berterame: “He’s the kind of player Inter deserves”
The co-owner of the American club, Jorge Mas, confirmed the offer for the Rayados striker and said that his arrival could be finalized very soon.
Jorge Mas, co-owner of Inter Miami, confirmed that the American club has made an offer for Germán Berterame and stated that the forward's situation could be settled within hours.
Rumors regarding Berterame's potential departure from Rayados surfaced after the Monterrey team’s recent match against Mazatlán, where the striker scored one of the five goals in Monterrey’s 5-1 victory. News of his transfer to MLS quickly gained momentum in both Mexican and U.S. media.
During an interview, Mas noted: 'Germán Berterame is a great player; we faced him in the Concachampions a couple of years ago. We aspire to have a top-tier squad. This morning, I confirmed that there is an offer from Inter Miami; we will see how this develops over the next 24 to 36 hours.
The businessman, who is also the owner of Real Zaragoza, highlighted that Berterame has the quality to join the 'super-squad' that Inter Miami is building. According to reports, the offer for the forward is said to be around 15 million dollars.
Germán Berterame joined Rayados for the Apertura 2022 after shining with Atlético de San Luis, and he quickly established himself as one of the team's top scorers, accumulating 68 goals and breaking into Monterrey's all-time top 10. His departure, if finalized, would mark a significant change in the Monterrey club's offense, but everything indicates that the situation could be resolved in the coming days.
