Where to Watch: Lyon vs. PSG on beIN SPORTS
Injury-hit PSG face a rivalry match at Lyon in a Ligue 1 title race big-hitter.
While PSG picked up three points last weekend against Nice to keep the side at the top of the Ligue 1 standings, it was a close-run thing. Really close.
A late, late goal from Gonçalo Ramos with literally two seconds left of injury time gave PSG the win, and a two-point lead at the top of the standings from Marseille and Lens.
However, that lead could conceivably be lost this weekend with Marseille facing a comfortable home match with Brest and PSG traveling to Lyon in one of the best rivalry matches of Ligue 1. The game follows what was a bruising encounter against Bayern Munich in the Parc des Princes in too many ways. Not only was the 2-1 loss the first defeat of the Champions League season for PSG, but it also saw an ankle injury for Achraf Hakimi that could keep the inspirational fullback out for the rest of 2025. Nuno Mendes and Ousmane Dembélé also picked up injuries, to join Désiré Doué on the sidelines.
Lyon look to capitalize on PSG’s injury woes
Lyon’s chances will certainly be boosted with the absence of this quartet, but the home side also had a damaging loss in Europa League to Betis on Thursday to follow two draws in Ligue 1 against Paris FC and Brest. Nevertheless, Lyon have won some big matches in Ligue 1 this season with victories against Lens, Marseille, Lille, and Strasbourg.

The team will be fancying their chances against a PSG struggling both with injuries and form, and will look to the dynamism of USMNT midfielder Tanner Tessmann in the center of the park to lead them to victory.
