Strasbourg Strike Big With 3-1 Win Over Lyon
Strasbourg delivered a statement performance at home, defeating Lyon 3-1 in a thrilling Ligue 1 clash marked by clinical finishing and a decisive second-half penalty.
Strasbourg produced one of their most impressive performances of the season, securing a 3-1 victory over Lyon in a high-intensity Ligue 1 showdown. Clinical in attack and composed under pressure, the home side made the most of their chances to claim three vital points.
The breakthrough arrived in the 37th minute when Martial Godo found space inside the box and finished with confidence to put Strasbourg ahead. The goal energized the crowd and shifted the momentum firmly in favor of the hosts going into halftime.

Early in the second half, Strasbourg doubled their lead through Diego Moreira in the 52nd minute. The winger capitalized on a quick attacking move, calmly slotting the ball past the goalkeeper to make it 2-0 and leave Lyon with a mountain to climb.
Lyon responded quickly. Just seven minutes later, Corentin Tolisso pulled one back in the 59th minute, giving the visitors renewed hope. The goal sparked a more aggressive spell from Lyon, who pushed forward in search of an equalizer and applied pressure in the final third.
