How to Watch: Lille vs. PSG on beIN SPORTS
PSG look to avoid back-to-back Ligue 1 away defeats with away trip to Lille
European Confidence, Domestic Concerns
No Dembélé? No Doué? No Kvaratskhelia? No Neves? Absolutely no problem for PSG who travelled to Barcelona in the Champions League and reminded the Pretenders that it is the Parisians who are still the Kings of Europe.
However, there is little time for laurel-squatting – or getting some of the injured players back – as PSG now must defend their Ligue 1 crown in a match where a win is far from guaranteed. Indeed, a loss against Lille on Sunday would be PSG’s 2nd away defeat in a row in the league, after a damaging defeat in Le Classique against Marseille.
Lille’s Contrasting Form Between Europe and Ligue 1
That’s not to say that Lille are not having their own issues in Ligue 1. Whilst Le Dogues are prevailing in the Europa League with two wins from two, including an impressive victory over Roma (and three saved penalties), the recent record in Ligue 1 has been a damaging one.
Lille are going into the home clash against PSG after back-to-back defeats, firstly in a derby against Lens and then high-flying Lyon. A trio of trying tussles is completed on Sunday against PSG.
