Dembélé and Barcola Seal PSG Victory Over Auxerre
On Matchday 19, reigning champions PSG continue to put pressure on Lens in the Ligue 1 title race
Paris Saint-Germain remain firmly in the hunt for the Ligue 1 title. This time, Ousmane Dembélé and Bradley Barcola were decisive as PSG edged Auxerre 1–0 on Matchday 19, keeping the pressure on league leaders Lens.
PSG Dominated but Struggled to Break Through
True to Luis Enrique’s attacking philosophy, PSG controlled possession and pushed forward throughout the match. However, early chances from Gonçalo Ramos and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia failed to produce a breakthrough on the scoreboard.
Auxerre, playing at home, defended resiliently, producing several key interventions over the first 70 minutes. While the hosts had a few moments going forward, clear chances against the champions were limited.

Ousmane Dembélé Changed the Game
Ousmane Dembélé began the match on the bench, but his introduction immediately shifted the momentum. The Ballon d’Or winner injected pace and creativity into PSG’s attack and played a decisive role in the winning goal.
Around the 80th minute, Dembélé delivered a perfectly weighted pass to Bradley Barcola, who burst forward with pace and finished calmly past the goalkeeper, sealing all three points for PSG.
