Angers has clinched a return to Ligue 1 after spending only a year in the second division. The team from the Pays de la Loire region secured the second promotion spot in Ligue 2 following a 0-0 draw with Dunkerque.

With this promotion, Angers joins Auxerre, who had already secured their spot a few weeks earlier, aiming to avoid relegation again next season.

The final promotion spot will be contested among Saint-Etienne, Rodez, and Paris FC, with these teams competing in the playoff for the remaining place in the 2024-2025 Ligue 1 campaign.

The match between Rodez and Paris FC is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, at 14:30 PM ET. Saint-Etienne awaits their opponent, which will be determined by the third-to-last team in the current Ligue 1 standings, set to be decided this Sunday.
