(VIDEO) The Viral Dog That Hates River Plate and Could Be the Most Loyal Fan of Boca Juniors
The love for Boca Juniors transcends borders and is so passionate that it has now been reflected in what, for me, is the best, most loyal, and tender fan of the Xeneize team.
For many, this might just be a “stunt,” but the truth is that this fan doesn’t hide—like many do—his hatred for the Argentine club’s archrival: River Plate.
The Viral Dog That Hates River Plate
It was TikTok user @mabelsolerdekorn who shared the video of the dog, starting what seemed like a normal conversation—but it wasn’t. It was pure magic.
"Can I tell you the truth? You’re very loving with me and we talk a lot. But honestly, I’m a little worried because someone told me that you’re a River fan..." she said, only to see the Golden Retriever bare its teeth, making it very clear he didn’t like the rival team at all.
"There’s no need to get that angry, we’re just having a conversation," his owner added, but it was impossible to hide the dog’s animosity.
Some of the comments—unsurprisingly from Boca Juniors fans—were hilarious: "If my dog isn’t like this, I don’t want it," and "Why would you say such awful things?" referring jokingly to even mentioning River Plate to such a loyal companion.
Boca Juniors Announces Miguel Ángel Russo as New Coach
The Argentine club Boca Juniors announced Miguel Ángel Russo as their new head coach, just over a month after Fernando Gago’s departure, with their sights set on the FIFA Club World Cup taking place this month in the United States.
"Welcome home, Miguel," the club wrote on its social media, alongside a series of images of the coach — including one of him lifting the Copa Libertadores in 2007, the last one won by Xeneize, with Russo at the helm.
"I’m very happy, first of all because I know what Boca is, I know what we’re going to compete for, to play for, and being here at this moment is a great joy for me," the coach said during his presentation on Monday.
Russo’s third stint with Boca Juniors will officially begin on June 16, in Xeneize’s debut against Portuguese side Benfica at the FIFA Club World Cup, where they will also face Germany’s Bayern Munich and New Zealand’s Auckland City.
