The promise Gavi kept
Gavi had promised that he would dye his hair pink if Spain lifted the World Cup trophy, something that became reality on July 19.
As a result, he reported to Barcelona's Joan Gamper Training Centre on Thursday sporting his new hairstyle, despite originally being scheduled to return on August 12 alongside the club's other World Cup winners.
Cucurella also fulfilled a World Cup promise
Gavi is not the only Spain player to honor a promise after winning the World Cup.
Marc Cucurella also followed through on his pledge by getting a tattoo of Spain head coach Luis de la Fuente's face after La Roja captured the 2026 World Cup title.
Gavi now joins the growing list of Spain internationals who celebrated the historic triumph by fulfilling personal promises.

Beyond his new hairstyle, Gavi was the biggest surprise as Hansi Flick's squad returned to training.
