The Search for a Number 9 to Replace Lewandowski Is Getting Tougher; Julian Alvarez, Joao Pedro, or Kane Are Candidates.
Barça accelerates its plan, after Lewandowski's departure, keeping Julián Álvarez, Joao Pedro, and Harry Kane as candidates, without ruling any of them out.
Barça accelerates the search for their new goalscorer
The departure of Robert Lewandowski left a huge void at FC Barcelona. The Pole, with four seasons of goals and titles, three leagues and one Copa del Rey, marked an era that now forces the club to move decisively in the market. The Blaugrana management is clear that they need a top-tier center forward, and although the level of demand could be adjusted according to circumstances, the three names that are in focus are Julián Álvarez, João Pedro, and Harry Kane.
Kane's case
Harry Kane, star of Bayern Munich, comes from an outstanding campaign: Bundesliga, German Cup, and Champions League semifinals. With a contract valid until 2027, his situation makes him the most complicated option. In Barcelona, they acknowledge that, barring an unexpected turn of events, the operation is practically unfeasible.

Julian Alvarez
The Argentine, currently at Atlético de Madrid, has hinted on several occasions that he might leave despite having a contract until 2030. Barça has already expressed interest and has a budget close to 100 million euros to try to convince the Atlético club. However, the competition is fierce: PSG and Arsenal are also keeping an eye on him, with figures exceeding 150 million. For the Barcelona management, Álvarez is the ideal profile for Hansi Flick's game, which keeps hope alive.
Joao Pedro
The Chelsea forward was not initially a priority, but the difficulties with Álvarez have made him gain prominence. The London club, for now, is not willing to negotiate, although Barça has already expressed their interest.

Open market and second tier
The blaugrana strategy includes a second group of forwards in case the first options fall through. The market has just begun, and positions may vary, but at Camp Nou, they know that the choice of the new "9" will be crucial to maintain competitiveness after the Lewandowski era.
