Sergio Ramos moves forward with bid to buy Sevilla
Sergio Ramos is no longer just watching from the sidelines. The former captain is accelerating talks that could reshape the future of Sevilla.
Ramos accelerates negotiations
According to reports from AS, Sergio Ramos is serious about purchasing Sevilla, and he is not willing to wait much longer. In the coming days, the defender from Camas is scheduled to hold several meetings alongside his lawyer, Julio Senn, with the club’s major shareholders and key figures involved in a potential sale.
The objective is clear: explore whether common ground can be found on price and conditions before the situation at the club deteriorates further.
Key figures at the table
One of the central players in any ownership change is Alberto Pérez Solano, the club’s board secretary and a close ally of José María del Nido Carrasco. Ramos is expected to meet with him directly as part of these initial talks.
These conversations are seen as essential to defining the framework of a possible deal and gauging how far both sides are willing to move to reach an agreement.

A €400 million proposal on the table
Backed by several high-profile investors, Ramos continues to stand by a total valuation of around €400 million, a figure that includes the club’s existing debt. That debt, however, remains one of the major sticking points and must be clearly defined before a final price per share can be set.
At present, the offer from an unnamed American company has effectively fallen out of contention after a closer look at Sevilla’s financial accounts.
Share price gap and mounting pressure
Shareholders now acknowledge they are unlikely to secure the previously discussed €3,500 per share, revising expectations closer to €3,000. Ramos has not yet reached that figure, leaving a noticeable gap between the two sides.
The coming meetings will be decisive: either Ramos moves closer to the shareholders’ demands, or the owners soften their stance amid what many see as an increasingly self-destructive trajectory for the club.
With talks imminent and tensions rising, Sevilla’s ownership future appears to be entering a critical phase. Whether Sergio Ramos can turn ambition into agreement now depends on how much flexibility exists on both sides of the negotiating table.
