Sergio Busquets is officially back at FC Barcelona, although this time he will not be returning as a player.
According to Marca, the legendary midfielder has begun a period of training and observation with the coaching staff of Barcelona Atlètic, taking the first steps toward a new career in management.
While the club has yet to make an official announcement, the objective is clear. Busquets wants to immerse himself in Barcelona's coaching methodology, work closely with the reserve team on a daily basis, and continue his education before officially taking charge of a team.
The First Step Toward the Dugout
After retiring from professional football following Inter Miami's MLS Cup triumph, Busquets chose to begin his coaching journey at the club where he built one of the greatest careers in football history.
The former Barcelona captain has not yet completed the coaching licenses required to become a head coach, making this learning period an important part of his development.
Working alongside the coaching staff will allow him to gain experience in key areas such as weekly planning, tactical analysis, dressing-room management, and the development of young players.
It is no coincidence that he chose to return to La Masia.
That is where he developed as a player and learned the football principles that later made him an indispensable figure in one of the greatest FC Barcelona teams of all time.
