The Madrid-based club said it considers it "intolerable" for Tebas to use his institutional position to publicly discredit and attack Real Madrid. The club also questioned the president's decision to spend time and use his personal channels to repeatedly respond to matters involving the team.

In its statement, Real Madrid said the competition "urgently" needs a leader capable of managing it and developing its full potential while adhering to the fundamental principle of neutrality.
The club also stressed that the president of LaLiga does not own the competition but rather serves as a manager responsible for representing the institutions that are part of it.
The response came after Tebas published a post on his personal X account rejecting claims of alleged refereeing decisions being directed against the Madrid club.
Tebas Responds to Refereeing Criticism
Tebas said that claiming referees are being directed against Real Madrid is "living in another galaxy" and questioned arguments suggesting there is a permanent conspiracy against the club.
The executive also defended the fact that any team can have matches officiated by both international referees and those who do not hold that status. According to his position, no club should receive different treatment because of its revenue, audience, history or importance within the competition.
Tebas also argued that a refereeing mistake does not prove the existence of a conspiracy and said that repeating such a claim for years does not make it true.
Real Madrid Questions the President's Approach
Real Madrid also criticized the manner in which Tebas expressed his position. The club considered it particularly serious that he used a post related to a journalist's article to respond while also making assessments about the institution's sporting strategy.
For Los Blancos, this behavior is incompatible with the neutrality that should be maintained by LaLiga's top executive.
As a result, Real Madrid concluded its statement by calling for a change in the competition's presidency, further escalating its institutional dispute with Javier Tebas.
