Real Madrid and Barcelona Lead the Revenue Ranking
Spanish teams lead this year’s revenue ranking
Spanish teams are in the lead
Real Madrid and Barcelona are once again at the top of the table.
We’re talking about the revenue table, where the two Spanish teams lead by a noticeable margin over the others.
Madrid and Barcelona
It is the second consecutive year that Real Madrid has topped the revenue list. The Madrid team’s revenue amounted to 1.2 billion euros. Much of this growth and established revenue is due to the development of the commercial area, both at Real Madrid and at the other clubs in the league. The Madrid club increased its revenue by 11% compared to last year.
In second place is the Catalan team; FC Barcelona managed to climb many spots in this ranking of clubs with the highest revenue. With €974.8 million, it ranks behind Real Madrid, unable to break the billion-euro barrier. FC Barcelona closed its year-over-year revenue growth at 23%.
Atletico Madrid
For reference, within their league, the team next in revenue is Atlético de Madrid, which ranks thirteenth overall and third in La Liga, but with just €455 million in revenue, less than half of Barcelona’s. Anyway, it grew by 11% compared to 2025 revenue.

Why did revenues grow?
Revenues have benefited from the introduction of Permanent Seat Licenses, which are akin to season tickets that guarantee the purchaser a seat in the stadium for the team’s games. Clubs’ commercial revenues have become the primary source of revenue. There has also been an increase in the use of football stadiums when no matches are scheduled, which boosts sales of merchandise and official products.
