Jan Oblak wants to "achieve some things" before calling time on his Atletico Madrid career, but he remains unsure about his future at the club.

The 33-year-old has two years left on his current deal, but he could leave this summer following reported interest from Saudi Arabia and Juan Musso's impressive performances for Diego Simeone's side in 2025-26.

Since Oblak became Atleti's first-choice goalkeeper in 2015-16, he has played more games (517) than any other goalkeeper in the top five European leagues (David de Gea is second with 458), also keeping more clean sheets (224) and making the third-most saves (1,317).

The Slovenian has won one LaLiga title (2020-21), one Europa League (2017-18), one UEFA Super Cup (2018) and one Supercopa de Espana (2014) during his time with Atleti.

He is yet to win the Champions League, finishing as runner-up in 2015-16 and being knocked out in the semi-finals by Arsenal last month.

Oblak wants to reach new heights with Atleti, but he knows the club have a choice to make over his immediate future.

"I’m not going to dwell on it too much, because things happen when they’re meant to happen," said Oblak via Ekipa.

"What’s meant to be will be. I don’t have much influence over all of this.

"I have a contract with the club, where I’ve been for 12 years. I’ve honoured it from beginning to end, and I’ll continue to do so in the future.

"I want to achieve some things with this club that I haven’t yet, but they have to consider everything.

"At some point, they will also make decisions about the future. I think I still have a few more years at the highest level, because I feel great."
