Marcus Rashford wants to stay at Barcelona and uses his numbers to push for a permanent move
There is no doubt in his mind. Rashford has already decided where he wants to play… now it’s up to Barcelona.
Rashford sets his priority
Marcus Rashford has made his intentions clear: he wants to remain at FC Barcelona next season. Despite being under contract with Manchester United until 2028, returning to England is not part of his immediate plans.
After scoring in the win over Getafe, the English forward reinforced his desire to stay, believing Barcelona’s playing style suits him better.
Numbers to back his case
Rashford believes he has done enough to earn a permanent move. His stats support that claim, with 26 goal contributions so far: 13 goals, 11 assists, and two penalties won.
He is averaging a goal involvement every 89 minutes, making him one of the most productive attacking players in the squad.
A complicated deal
Barcelona hold a €30 million option to buy, although the club is looking to lower that fee. There is already a pre-agreement in place with the player, who is reportedly willing to reduce his salary to help finalize the move.
His age, turning 29 in October, also plays a role in negotiations, as the club is aiming for shorter contracts in similar deals.
Flick has yet to decide
Inside the squad, Rashford feels comfortable and valued, even with strong competition across the attacking line.
Head coach Hansi Flick appreciates his attitude and professionalism, though his performances in certain matches have raised some doubts. The final decision has not been made yet… but the player has already made his stance clear.
