In his first weeks as an FC Barcelona player, Marcus Rashford is getting a firsthand look at what it means to train and compete with one of the most demanding teams in the world. In an interview for The Rest Is Football, the English forward praised the energy and youth within the squad, and did not hesitate to name Pedri as one of the players who has impressed him the most.

“It’s very refreshing to play with these kinds of players, especially with the tempo that Pedri sets,” Rashford said, emphasizing that despite his youth, the Spaniard shows a football maturity that makes a real difference.

Intensity and Adaptation

Rashford also opened up about the physical demands at his new club. “It’s very intense here. I was tired after every training session, especially during the Asian tour because of the weather and the tempo with the ball,” he explained. For the Englishman, the challenge isn’t about running, but about maintaining a high technical level throughout every session.

When it comes to goals, Rashford is clear: he would rather win trophies with Barça than shine individually.

Language adaptation has also been a challenge. Between Spanish, Catalan, and English, Jules Koundé and Frenkie de Jong have been his main supporters, helping him settle in both on and off the pitch.
