Barcelona Look to Bounce Back After El Clásico
Barcelona return to action determined to get back to winning ways. After an extraordinary start to the season, Hansi Flick's side suffered their first LaLiga defeat against Real Madrid, ending a remarkable run of nine consecutive victories.
Despite that setback, the Blaugrana remain top of the standings with 27 points and one of the most dangerous attacks in the competition, having scored 40 goals in ten matches.
Raphinha, the team's leading scorer with 13 goals, and Lamine Yamal, who has scored eight, will be two of the biggest threats to the visitors' defense.
However, injuries remain a major concern for Flick, who will be without Jules Koundé, Eric García, Andreas Christensen, Dani Olmo, Roony Bardghji, and Xavi Espart.
Those absences could create an opportunity for young defender Brian Fariñas, one of the German coach's options at the back.
Alavés Hope to Repeat Their Upset Against Barcelona
Deportivo Alavés enter the match with 12 points, sitting seventh in the standings. Although they made a promising start to the campaign, Quique Sánchez Flores' side have now gone six league matches without a victory.
Nevertheless, the visitors have a recent result to draw confidence from: they defeated Barcelona 1-0 in their last meeting, thanks to a goal from Ibrahim Diabaté.
The team from Vitoria will look to exploit spaces and use quick attacking transitions to trouble the hosts.
Lucas Boyé, who has scored five league goals this season, will be one of Alavés' main attacking threats as they chase a memorable victory at Spotify Camp Nou.
