Lamine Yamal Finally Breaks Silence on His Controversial 18th Birthday Party
At just 18 years old, Lamine Yamal is already shining for Barça, but he also faces controversy. Now he breaks the silence on his birthday party.
The Birthday That Sparked Controversy
On July 13, Lamine Yamal celebrated his 18th birthday with a party that did not go unnoticed. Comments on social media and in the press quickly multiplied, criticizing the young FC Barcelona star for alleged behavior during the event. Two months later, the winger decided to set the record straight on the podcast Resonancia de Corazón with José Ramón de la Morena.
“It made me laugh how they tried to stain it in so many ways. A woman came out saying lies, that I was choosing girls in one way or another. It made no sense. I asked my friends if they knew that woman and no one did,” the Spanish international recalled.
The Most Serious Allegations
One of the most heated controversies was the hiring of people with dwarfism, which led to a complaint from the Association of People with Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias with Dwarfism (ADEE). The debate escalated with contradictory versions circulating on television and in the media.

On this matter, Lamine defended what happened: “Then came the issue of the waiters, who were just working. What made me laugh is that the same TV channel that said I was mocking them hires them for other things. And they were there working.”
“There Are People Who Want Me to Fail”
The Barça wonderkid insisted that the criticism had a clear background: to harm him at a key moment in his career. “They tried to stain it because it was summer. There were people who wanted me to come back and then say, ‘the party this, the party that.’ Well, they’ll have to wait a little longer,” he said.
At just 18, Lamine Yamal shows maturity in dealing with controversies off the pitch, convinced that his talent and discipline will ultimately define his legacy.
