Florentino Perez Presents His Presidential Project at Real Madrid With the Slogan “Much History to Make”
Florentino Perez launched his candidacy with an ambitious plan, titles as collateral, and the message that Madrid always belongs to its members.
The elections at Real Madrid
At 79 years old and with 23 seasons at the helm of the club in two periods, Pérez is facing Enrique Riquelme Vives, a 37-year-old businessman and president of the Cox Group. The campaign is already underway: this Tuesday, he posted the official video of his candidacy on social media. The video is less than three minutes long and opens with the phrase "The future needs someone who has already made it a reality."
Florentino's plan and argument
In his speech, Pérez remarked that "running the biggest club in the world is not something you improvise," highlighting that Real Madrid is today the most valuable institution on the planet, with the highest revenue and global reputation. He recalled that his management has accumulated 66 titles, including 7 Champions League titles, and assured that "the best cycle in the history of world soccer is not yet over."
The president promises to continue with the policy of big signings, citing names from Figo to Mbappé as examples of vision and determination. He also boasted about the new Santiago Bernabéu, which he described as "the most advanced stadium on the planet," and the expansion of Valdebebas as part of a long-term structural plan
Real Madrid's role in society
In addition, he highlighted the club's social and educational work through the Real Madrid Foundation and the University, pillars of identity that reinforce its project. In his final message, Pérez was categorical: "Real Madrid does not belong to any president; it belongs to its members... Because greatness is not improvised or inherited. The best club in the world doesn't stop."
With this closing, he seeks to reaffirm his leadership and project continuity at a decisive moment for the future of the white club
