Flick signs new Barcelona contract until 2028
After guiding Barcelona to back-to-back LaLiga titles, Hansi Flick has signed a new two-year deal at Camp Nou.
Barcelona have confirmed Hansi Flick has officially signed a new contract to extend his stint as their head coach.
Flick's new deal will see him stay at Camp Nou until June 2028, with an option for an additional year.
The German coach has already won five trophies in two seasons with the Blaugrana, winning two LaLiga titles, two Supercopa de Espana, and one Copa del Rey.
Under Flick's guidance, Barca have won back-to-back league titles for the first time since 2017-18 and 2018-19, while they also reached the Champions League semi-final in 2024-25.
He has led Barca in 116 matches, winning 88 games (D10 L18) and seeing his side score 317 goals, while conceding just 132.
Flick had already revealed he had struck an agreement with the Blaugrana in the wake of their Clasico win over rivals Real Madrid this month, which secured the LaLiga title.
And the club have now made it official ahead of their final game of the season, away at Valencia on Saturday.
Among Barca head coaches to have managed at least five games, only Tito Vilanova (2.84) and Pep Guardiola (2.45) have averaged more points per game in LaLiga than Flick's 2.43.
However, in all competitions, only Vilanova (85.2%) and Luis Enrique (76.2%) have a higher win rate than Flick (75.9%).
Barca have won 94 points in the Spanish top flight this season with one more game to go; victory over Valencia on the final day would see them record the fourth-highest points tally in a single LaLiga season.
