FC Barcelona has officially unveiled the special jersey it will wear in the upcoming El Clásico against Real Madrid on October 26, featuring a global music star as its main attraction: Ed Sheeran. The design is part of the club’s ongoing partnership with Spotify, which continues to merge the worlds of football and music like no other.
The British artist becomes the first male pop singer to appear on Barça’s kit, displaying the logo of his latest studio album, “Play.” The shirt will also be worn by the women’s first team on October 19 against Granada, reinforcing the club’s shared message of equality and unity under the same campaign.
A Tradition That Mixes Culture and Football
With this collaboration, Ed Sheeran joins an impressive lineup of artists who have previously starred on Barça’s shirts — including Travis Scott, Coldplay, Karol G, The Rolling Stones, Rosalía, and Drake. Each release has turned the Blaugrana jersey into a collector’s item, celebrating the bond between football and global pop culture.
The Spotify-Barça partnership has become a unique branding phenomenon in European football, using world-famous musicians to bridge sport and entertainment. This new collaboration with Sheeran might just be one of the most memorable yet.

Limited Editions and Launch Details
The exclusive editions of the jersey will go on sale starting Wednesday, October 15, at Barça Stores, the club’s official e-commerce platform, and the Nike Store on Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona. There will be 1,899 Match-quality units, as well as 22 signed jerseys from both the men’s and women’s starting lineups for the El Clásico and Liga F matches.
As a new twist, 11 additional jerseys signed by Ed Sheeran will also be available. A lifestyle collection inspired by the Play album’s visual world will accompany the launch, featuring two T-shirts, a sweatshirt, and a scarf. For Barça fans and collectors alike, this drop is set to be pure gold.
