Barcelona Return to the Spotify Camp Nou Pitch Before More Than 21,000 Fans
A historic day in Barcelona. FC Barcelona returned to training at the renovated Spotify Camp Nou before more than 21,000 fans who witnessed an emotional reunion.
The Most Anticipated Return
FC Barcelona are finally home. On Monday, the Blaugrana returned to the Spotify Camp Nou for an open training session attended by 21,795 fans, in a day as symbolic as it was unforgettable. The Tribuna and Gol Sud stands were nearly full as Hansi Flick’s team felt the warmth of their supporters once again after months away from their legendary stadium.
From 9:30 a.m., fans began filling the stands with chants and applause. When the players stepped onto the newly renovated pitch, the ovation was deafening—especially for Lamine Yamal, the young star who has already become a symbol of Barça’s present and future. The atmosphere, more emotional than loud, reflected the deep bond between the club and its people.
A Special Day On and Off the Pitch
The event welcomed 180 accredited journalists, who covered the historic session from the temporary press tribune, located just behind the Llotja d’Honor. Although the stadium still showed cranes and areas under construction, emotion prevailed over appearance. For the players, it was a uniquely special moment—especially for those who had never stepped onto the Camp Nou turf before.
Coach Hansi Flick experienced the stadium’s energy from the pitch for the first time, while players such as Szczęsny, Rashford, Casadó, Fermín, Olmo, Cubarsí, and Bardghji enjoyed their first contact with the “new Camp Nou.” The club explained that in this first phase, the stadium will open the Lateral Stand completely before expanding access to the First and Second Tiers in the following stages.

The New Blaugrana Temple Begins to Breathe Again
Despite the ongoing reconstruction, the training session served as a first glimpse of what the full return to the Spotify Camp Nou will look like. Both players and fans could imagine the stadium once it’s fully reopened—majestic, modern, and faithful to its essence.
With echoes of cheers, laughter, and emotion filling the air, the stadium came alive once again. Barça didn’t just reclaim their home—they recovered their spirit. And with over 21,000 voices chanting their name, it’s clear that the heart of Camp Nou is beating stronger than ever.
