Still the King! Real Madrid is The Most Valuable Club
Real Madrid is, for the third consecutive year, the most valuable football club in the world, with a value of $6.6 billion, according to Forbes magazine. This represents a 9% increase in value compared to last year. In third position is Barcelona, with a value of $5.6 billion, which represents a 2% increase.
The Madrid club is also the team that has generated the most revenue ($873 million), thanks to earning an average of $205 million per year from its shirt sponsors, the highest figure in football according to Football Benchmark. Additionally, it has won five of the last ten Champions Leagues.
Barcelona occupies the third position, $100 million behind the white team, and thanks to its sponsors, it earns an average of $189 million per year.
In second place is Manchester United, 27.7% of which was purchased by Jim Ratcliffe, the billionaire founder and CEO of the chemical group Ineos. The team is only $50 million away from overtaking Real Madrid.
Among the ten most valuable teams, there are six from the Premier League, which signed a new national television deal in December for the 2025-26 to 2028-29 seasons. This deal will allow it to earn more than double the national broadcasting revenue of any other football league, and almost double that of the second-placed LaLiga, when international broadcasting deals are included.
