After a standout season with FC Barcelona, Raphinha finally spoke out and shut down the transfer rumors that had him leaving the club last summer over claims of underperforming. “I’m not here as anyone’s gift”

“Ever since I joined, every transfer window there were rumors I was leaving, that I wasn’t good enough for this club. But I knew what I could do. I’m not here as anyone’s gift,” said Raphinha. He made it clear that his spot at Barça is something he earned through hard work—both at his previous clubs and with the Brazilian national team. And while he understands the pressure that comes with wearing the shirt, he never lost confidence in himself.

The transfer buzz wasn’t anything new. Big clubs from the Premier League and even teams from the Middle East were making serious offers.
