Barcelona Players Already Dreaming of Teaming up With Nico Williams
Ferran Torres, forward for FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team, has expressed his excitement about the possibility of playing alongside Nico Williams if the Athletic Club star ends up joining the Catalan giants. Speaking at the launch of his football camp in Foios (Valencia), Torres didn’t hold back his enthusiasm.
“Of course I’d love it. I’ve already played with him for Spain, and I think we could build a solid front three if the transfer goes through,” he said. While he admitted he hasn’t spoken directly to Nico, Ferran added, “Top players always want to join top clubs—and Barça is one of them.”
Reacting to Real Madrid's summer moves
When asked about Real Madrid’s summer signings, Torres was diplomatic: “We know what kind of club they are—they always aim to bring in the best. But we’re happy with our squad too.” He also rejected the idea of Barça being favorites: “I don’t like that label. When you’re the favorite, everyone comes after you. But aside from the Champions League, we’ve won nearly everything else.”
World Cup dreams and physical recovery
Looking ahead to international goals, Ferran remained ambitious: “We’re a very young team with a lot of room to grow, and we’ve already achieved a lot. So why not dream of winning the World Cup?” On his recovery from an appendicitis surgery in May, he added: “Physically I feel great, mentally even better—and I’m already back training to rejoin the team as soon as possible.”
