“I’ll clarify everything on the 25th”

In a press conference, Ancelotti was clear when asked about his continuity: “I can clarify it. The truth is I have a lot of affection for my club, my players, and my fans, and I respect them. I’ll talk about my future on the 25th, not before.”

He remained focused on the current sporting objectives: “I don’t have to answer now about what could happen after May 25. My priority is to prepare well for tomorrow’s match. Then we have the next one, which gives us the chance to keep fighting in this competition.”

Despite repeated questions, Ancelotti kept his calm tone: “I’m fine. Very fine. I understand you want to talk about my future, but I don’t. I’m very calm and very happy. I know exactly what I have to do — and that’s not talk about my future today. That might disappoint you a bit, but I don’t mind.”

Rumors and goodbyes

Ancelotti has been linked to the Brazilian national team and to coaching in Saudi Arabia, but he avoided addressing any of those rumors.

“I have a very good relationship with the club. We talk about everything. The relationship is fantastic. We’re not chasing the news; the news is what it is, and many of those stories are not true,” he said.

He also touched on the possibility of a farewell tribute if this turns out to be his last season at Real Madrid: “Whatever happens, it’ll be a beautiful farewell. I have deep affection for the club, and they show me the same; there will never be an argument or fight on my last day. That might be May 25, 2025, or 2026, or 2030. I don’t know — but whatever day it is, it’ll be very special.”

With the season entering its decisive phase and Ancelotti still under contract, the coach’s future remains uncertain — but now there's a date circled for answers.
