Toni Kroos' legacy will forever be etched in the history of football fans.
A star of world football is saying goodbye. Toni Kroos has announced that he will retire from the field after the Euro 2024 in Germany. With this, let’s recap all his achievements throughout his career, where he won a total of 33 titles with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and the German national team, with two more pending (Champions League and Euro).
On the individual front, Kroos has made it to the FIFA FIFPRO WORLD 11 three times, was named the best playmaker by the IFFHS in 2014, and won the Golden Ball as the best player of the 2007 U-17 World Cup in South Korea.
With Real Madrid, he has won 22 titles: four Champions Leagues, five Club World Cups, four UEFA Super Cups, four La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey, and four Spanish Super Cups. He still has a Champions League final pending when Real Madrid faces Borussia Dortmund on June 1 at Wembley, which could be his 23rd title with the team.
With Bayern Munich, Kroos won 10 titles: one Champions League, one Club World Cup, one UEFA Super Cup, three Bundesligas, three DFB-Pokals, and one DFL-Supercup.
To top it all off, the German midfielder won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, claiming the world champion title by defeating Argentina, led by Lionel Messi. That World Cup is also remembered for Germany's 7-1 thrashing of the host Brazil in the semifinals.
