Hansi Flick Admits He'll Miss Rashford

Why Did Barcelona Let Marcus Rashford Go?

The decision came as a surprise because Rashford enjoyed a highly productive loan spell. The England forward recorded 14 goals and 11 assists in 49 appearances, numbers that placed him among Barcelona's most influential players throughout the previous campaign.

Hansi Flick Didn't Hide His Admiration for Rashford

Following Barcelona's 2-2 preseason draw against Birmingham City, Hansi Flick was asked about Rashford's return to Manchester United, and his response quickly drew attention.

The German coach said he thoroughly enjoyed working with the England forward and pointed out that loan deals always create uncertainty about a player's future. He also described Rashford as "a fantastic player and a fantastic person," while admitting that both he and the rest of the squad will miss his presence.

Barcelona Looks Ahead With Gordon and Adeyemi

As Rashford prepares to return to Manchester United after his post-World Cup break, Barcelona has already shifted its focus to the new faces leading the attack.

Anthony Gordon is expected to be one of the club's marquee signings for the new season, while Karim Adeyemi has already started earning minutes during the preseason tour. However, Flick also had a message for the German forward, saying there are still important aspects of his game that need improvement before he can fully unlock his potential.

The Barcelona boss explained that he has seen a much sharper version of Adeyemi during training sessions and believes the German has everything it takes to become a decisive player once he fully adapts to the Blaugrana system.
