Will Mohamed Salah play against Australia? Latest update on Egypt's star
Egypt received encouraging news ahead of its Round of 32 clash against Australia at the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Egypt received encouraging news ahead of its Round of 32 clash against Australia at the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Mohamed Salah trained at the same pace as the rest of the squad on Thursday, making him available for Friday's knockout match at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
Salah returns to full training
Egypt's captain completed the portion of training open to the media during the team's final session at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
It marked another positive step after the forward had been following an individual training program earlier this week.

Why was Salah a doubt?
Salah was substituted in the 57th minute of Egypt's final Group Stage match against Iran.
Following that game, he did not immediately return to full training and only resumed field work on Tuesday with individualized sessions before rejoining the squad.
Egypt hopes to have its leader back
With Salah appearing fully fit again, Egypt expects to have its biggest star available for one of its most important matches of the tournament.
The forward will be crucial as Egypt looks to overcome Australia and secure a place in the Round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
