The tragedy prompted the tribute before the World Cup match.

FIFA announced the tribute
FIFA confirmed before kickoff that a moment of silence would be observed ahead of the quarterfinal between Spain and Belgium.
Although it was announced as a full minute of silence, the tribute ultimately lasted less than 30 seconds before the match got underway.
The ceremony served as a show of respect for the victims and solidarity with the families affected by the deadly wildfires in southern Spain.
