Switzerland dominates Bosnia to secure a key victory in Group B
The Swiss break Bosnia’s resistance
In a match that started off tightly contested in Inglewood, Switzerland defeated Bosnia 4-1 and earned three important points in Group B. The Swiss took control of possession from the opening minutes, while the Bosnian side relied on a compact defensive block and looked for counterattacking opportunities.
The first half had few emotions, although Switzerland created the most dangerous chances. Dan Ndoye came close to opening the score with a shot that hit the post, while Bosnia tried to resist and find spaces with Edin Džeko as their attacking reference.
In the second half, the match maintained the same tension until the decisive moment arrived.
Manzambi leads Switzerland’s celebration
In the 73rd minute, Manzambi appeared to break the deadlock. The forward took advantage of a rebound inside the box, turned quickly, and finished to put the Swiss ahead.
The situation became even more difficult for Bosnia when Muharemović received a red card for stopping a clear goal-scoring opportunity. With one player less, Bosnia struggled with the extra spaces and Switzerland took advantage.

In the 84th minute, Ruben Vargas extended the lead with a first-time finish into the corner of the goal. Later, Manzambi completed his brace to confirm a great performance from the Swiss side.
However, Bosnia delivered one of the highlights of the match. Mahmić scored a spectacular volley that lifted the team in the final minutes, although it was not enough to change the result.
In the closing moments, Granit Xhaka converted a penalty to seal the final 4-1 score and give Switzerland an important victory in their World Cup campaign.
