Possible Morocco lineup to face the Netherlands in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32
Morocco will face the Netherlands in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32. Led by Yassine Bounou, Achraf Hakimi, Azzedine Ounahi, and Brahim Díaz, the Atlas Lions will look to pull off another statement victory.
After an impressive group stage campaign, the African side will aim to remain defensively organized while making the most of the quality of its players to go toe-to-toe with one of Europe's strongest national teams in the tournament.
Using a 4-3-3 formation, the Atlas Lions are expected to rely on a blend of experience, youth, and pace as they look to pull off an upset and secure a place in the Round of 16.
Defensive solidity
In goal, Yassine Bounou is expected to once again provide security between the posts.
The back line would consist of Noussair Mazraoui, Issa Diop, Chadi Riad, and Achraf Hakimi. Hakimi is expected to remain one of Morocco's main attacking outlets from right-back, while Mazraoui would provide balance on the left flank.
