The Oranje and the Samurai Blue played out a thrilling 2-2 draw in the opening match of Group F. The game delivered intensity, goals, and outstanding saves.
A first half with chances for both teams
Netherlands started with more initiative and quickly created danger. Donyell Malen came close to scoring, but goalkeeper Suzuki made key interventions to keep the score level.

The second half delivered all the goals

The Oranje regained the lead thanks to a spectacular goal from Summerville, who fired an incredible long-range shot in the 63rd minute.
Just when it looked like Netherlands would take the win, Japan showed character. In the 88th minute, Ogawa rose from a corner kick and scored the equalizer with a header.
