Morocco Possible Lineup Against France In The 2026 FIFA World Cup Quarterfinals
Morocco is back among the world's top eight and will look to stun France, but Mohamed Ouahbi is expected to make one forced change in attack.
Morocco looks to make another World Cup statement
Morocco is once again among the best teams in the world. After its historic run at Qatar 2022, the Atlas Lions have proved their rise was no accident and will now try to eliminate one of the tournament favorites.
The African side arrives with momentum after a 3-0 win over Canada in the Round of 16, a result that strengthened its belief heading into another massive World Cup test.
France now stands in the way in a rematch of the 2022 World Cup semifinal.
Ouahbi faces one forced change
It is not all good news for head coach Mohamed Ouahbi, who will be without one of his key attacking pieces.
Ismael Saibari suffered a hamstring injury against Canada and is not expected to be available for the quarterfinal clash.
His absence should force at least one adjustment in a team that has relied on defensive discipline, quick transitions and attacking speed throughout the tournament.

Rahimi expected to replace Saibari
Soufiane Rahimi appears to be the main candidate to step into the starting lineup.
The forward scored against Canada and enters the France match with confidence, making him the natural option to lead Morocco's attack.
Morocco will also continue to rely on Achraf Hakimi's leadership from right back and Yassine Bounou's presence in goal, two pillars of a team that has become increasingly difficult to break down.
Morocco predicted lineup vs France
With one forced change in attack, Morocco is expected to keep the core that carried it into the quarterfinals.
Morocco predicted lineup (4-2-3-1): Yassine Bounou; Achraf Hakimi, Diop, Halhal, Noussair Mazraoui; Bouaddi, Neil El Aynaoui; Brahim Díaz, Azzedine Ounahi, Bilal El Khannouss; Soufiane Rahimi.
The Atlas Lions may enter as underdogs, but they have already shown they can compete with any team in the world.
