With the tournament now complete, Transfermarkt updated the market values of the world's biggest stars, confirming what had become evident throughout the competition: Lamine Yamal and Erling Haaland are now the most valuable footballers on the planet.

Outstanding performances throughout the World Cup reshaped the rankings, with several players reaching historic market valuations.

Lamine Yamal and Haaland Make History

The biggest winner of the summer was Lamine Yamal.

After leading Spain to the 2026 FIFA World Cup title, the teenage winger saw his market value rise to €220 million, matching Erling Haaland, who enjoyed a sensational tournament with Norway and finished among the competition's top scorers.

It marks the first time that footballers have surpassed the €200 million valuation barrier, highlighting both the continued growth of the transfer market and the enormous impact a World Cup can have on elite players.

Both stars increased their market value by €20 million following the tournament.

Mbappé, Olise, and Bellingham Also Climb

Another major winner was Kylian Mbappé.

The Real Madrid forward once again proved why he is considered one of the world's best, finishing the World Cup with 10 goals, a remarkable tally that boosted his market value to €200 million, joining Lamine Yamal and Erling Haaland among football's elite.

However, one of the biggest individual jumps belonged to Michael Olise.

The Bayern Munich winger enjoyed a historic tournament with France, breaking the record for the most assists in a single FIFA World Cup. That outstanding campaign increased his market value to €170 million, making him the fourth most valuable player in world football.

Rounding out the top five is Jude Bellingham, the leader of England's new generation, whose value climbed to €160 million after another impressive international tournament.

The World Cup Boosts the Next Generation

Several emerging stars also benefited from their performances.

Elliot Anderson increased his market value to €120 million, while Julián Álvarez reached €110 million, further establishing himself among the most valuable forwards in world football.

Meanwhile, Pedri remains one of the game's most valuable midfielders and still holds a slight advantage over Vinícius Júnior, who remains inside the global top ten despite Brazil's earlier-than-expected exit from the tournament.

Once again, the World Cup demonstrated how one outstanding international competition can dramatically accelerate both a player's sporting reputation and financial value.

Although the new generation now dominates the market, two football legends continue to command enormous global recognition.
