Harry Kane: "The Ballon d’Or if we win the World Cup? I would certainly be among the favourites."
The English captain arrives at the World Cup after a record season and dreams that glory with England will bring him closer to the Ballon d'Or.
Lift the World Cup and take home the Ballon d'Or
Harry Kane arrives at the World Cup with a double ambition: to lift the Cup with England and fully engage in the fight for the Ballon d'Or. The English captain comes from an extraordinary season at Bayern Munich, with 61 goals and a domestic double under the leadership of Vincent Kompany. That record places him as a central figure in England's aspirations.
Kane's statements
In an interview with L’Équipe, Kane was clear: "If we win the World Cup, I would surely be among the favorites for the Ballon d'Or. For the titles and the goals, I would be in the running." The forward also highlighted the presence of other candidates like Michael Olise, but emphasized that he prefers his performances to speak for themselves.
The English national team will be led by Thomas Tuchel, a coach who has already made an impact on Kane during his time in Munich. "I loved his personality and his ideas. In a way, he brought those methods to the national team," he pointed out.

The English team is already thinking about the first match.
With the team settled in Florida, the pressure is evident. Kane sums it up: "The ambition is to win the World Cup. We were close in recent years, and now we have a new coach and new players. It's exciting, although it also creates pressure."
England seeks to break six decades of drought, and Kane wants that glory to bring him closer to the highest individual award in football.
