Haiti’s Possible Lineup to Face Brazil at the FIFA World Cup 2026
Sebastien Migne’s side faces the toughest challenge in its history as it looks to earn its first-ever World Cup points against Brazil in Philadelphia.
Haiti’s national team faces the biggest challenge in its history this Friday, June 19, when it takes on Brazil in Philadelphia on Matchday 2 of Group C at the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The task could not be tougher, as Haiti is still searching for its first-ever points at a World Cup. Here is the possible starting lineup that head coach Sebastien Migne could send onto the field.
It is worth remembering that Haiti opened its campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Scotland, marking its second appearance in World Cup history.
THOSE WITH A DATE WITH HISTORY
In goal, Johny Placide is expected to start, especially considering the challenge posed by Brazil. Even without some of the world’s very best forwards, the South Americans remain a major attacking threat. The Caribbean goalkeeper will need to be at his very best.
Using a defensive 4-2-4 formation, Ricardo Adé and Hannes Delcroix are expected to partner in central defense, while Martin Expérience and Carlens Arcus occupy the full-back positions. They will be supported by holding midfielders Danley Jean Jacques and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde in an effort to contain Vinícius Jr. and company.
On the counterattack, Haiti is expected to rely on Wilson Isidor and Frantzdy Pierrot as central forwards, with Ruben Providence and Louicius Deedson operating on the wings.
It would be the same lineup that started against Scotland at Boston Stadium, with Lenny Joseph, Yassim Fortune, and Josué Casmir available as options capable of changing the tactical approach during the match.
