That does not mean the interest has faded. Several reports continue to link Mora with clubs such as Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, although none of those teams have officially confirmed negotiations.

One final step remains before his European dream becomes reality

Despite growing confidence that a deal is in place, one important hurdle still remains. Gilberto Mora must first turn 18 on October 14, the minimum age required for an international transfer to European football under current regulations.
