FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Ticket Prices Skyrocket
Fans hoping to witness the biggest match of the tournament will have to spend thousands of dollars to be there.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will reach its climax next Sunday, July 19, when New York/New Jersey Stadium hosts the final of football's biggest event. With Spain already qualified and waiting for the winner of the England vs. Argentina semifinal, anticipation has sent ticket prices soaring, making this the most expensive World Cup final ever.
RECORD PRICES AND A MASSIVE RESALE GAP
Ticket prices for the final have fluctuated significantly since sales began. According to recent data from the SeatPick resale market, the average price of a ticket is around $13,700, while some premium seats have reached prices close to $200,000.
That represents a dramatic increase compared to the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar, where the most expensive official ticket was approximately $1,600. For the 2026 edition, FIFA set official ticket prices ranging from $2,030 to $6,730, depending on the seating category.
The most exclusive category saw an even sharper increase due to FIFA's dynamic pricing system. Some premium sections reached prices of up to $32,970. Meanwhile, the least expensive tickets were located in the upper sections of the stadium, with starting prices slightly above $2,000.
The secondary market has pushed prices even higher. The cheapest resale tickets currently available start at around $8,000, while seats closer to the pitch can exceed $38,000.
WHERE CAN FANS GET TICKETS?
The first official sales phases, including the initial lotteries and the Visa presale, have already concluded, leaving limited opportunities to purchase tickets directly through official channels.
FIFA is still offering a final direct-sales phase through a first-come, first-served system, along with its official ticket resale platform, where fans can buy and sell verified tickets.
There are also authorized secondary marketplaces such as StubHub, Ticketmaster, Vivid Seats and SeatGeek for supporters looking to attend high-demand matches, although prices can be significantly higher than the original face value.
With demand at historic levels, fans are advised to carefully review purchase conditions and rely on trusted platforms to avoid issues with their tickets.
