Despite his aspirations, Fernández keeps his feet on the ground and values every minute shared with Messi, who led the national team to three consecutive titles between 2021 and 2024. “He's different. He's the best of all time, and it's a privilege to share a locker room with him. He's always been my idol since I was a kid. At first, I was impressed, but over the years, it became more normal. He's a great person, and I'm proud to experience these moments with him," he said.

Enzo's intentions

At just 25 years old, he already has a World Cup and a Copa America in his trophy case. But his focus is on the immediate challenge: defending the crown in North America. "We're going to try to win it again. That's what this national team has to do. The Argentine people always want more. We know it could be Messi's last World Cup, so we'll be there to defend what we won in Qatar as a team," he said.
