Head coach Didier Deschamps skipped the traditional 55-player preliminary list and directly unveiled the 26 players who will represent France in the tournament hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Camavinga misses out on the World Cup
The biggest surprise in the squad is the absence of Eduardo Camavinga.
Deschamps explained the decision during an interview with TF1.
“He’s coming off a difficult season in which he played less and dealt with injuries”.
The French manager also pointed out that the midfielder is still very young.
“He’s still young”.
Deschamps added that he understands the disappointment Camavinga must be feeling after being left out.
