Players to watch
Ghana’s biggest attacking hopes will rest on Iñaki Williams and Antoine Semenyo, two players arriving at the World Cup in outstanding form.
The Athletic Club forward has become one of the emotional and footballing leaders of the national team, while Semenyo enters the tournament after establishing himself as an important figure in the Premier League.
With speed, physicality, and the ability to thrive in open spaces, both attackers could become a nightmare matchup for opposing defenses throughout the competition.
Important returns for the Black Stars
One of the most notable aspects of the squad announcement is the return of several key players who had been absent for months due to injuries or technical decisions.
Among them are Baba Abdul Rahman, who had not been called up since September 2023, as well as Ernest Nuamah and Abdul Mumin, both back after recovering from serious ligament injuries.
In addition, young Ajax goalkeeper Paul Reverson was included for a deeper evaluation after impressing in the Dutch youth system.
The Black Stars arrive at the World Cup determined to compete once again at the highest international level and recover the prestige built by previous historic generations.
Placed in Group L alongside Panama, England, and Croatia, the African side will open its campaign against Panama in Toronto before facing two massive European challenges.
With a blend of youth, international experience, and attacking talent, Ghana hopes to become one of the most dangerous African teams in the entire tournament once again.
