The Toronto delivered a memorable evening on Friday as it hosted Canada’s official opening ceremony for the FIFA World Cup 2026, held just before the national team’s clash against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
MUSIC AND CANADIAN CULTURE ON FULL DISPLAY
The opening show brought together a diverse lineup of artists reflecting Canada’s multicultural identity. Among the highlights was Alanis Morissette, who performed the Canadian national anthem, alongside Michael Bublé, Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyez, and Nora Fatehi.
