Gareth Bale Predicts the Outcome of PSG vs Real Madrid at the Club World Cup
The former Welsh striker declared that Real Madrid will win the semifinal against PSG and praised Xabi Alonso's work as head coach.
Gareth Bale made headlines with a bold prediction ahead of the 2025 Club World Cup semifinal between Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, claiming there is no doubt about the outcome: “We all know the final result of the match: Real Madrid will win.” The retired footballer broke his silence in an interview with DAZN and fired up the buildup to a clash many are calling a pre-final.
“Real Madrid Will Win”
The clash between PSG and Real Madrid is set to take place this Wednesday at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey at 2:00 p.m. ET (1:00 p.m. CT, 12:00 p.m. MT, 11:00 a.m. PT), with a ticket to Sunday’s grand final on the line, where Chelsea awaits after defeating Fluminense in the other semifinal. For Bale, the history and international pedigree of the Spanish giants make the difference: “Even though Paris has been playing at a high level this season, we all know the final outcome: Real Madrid will win.”
Bale also took time to praise Xabi Alonso, the current manager of Los Blancos, emphasizing the club’s promising new era under his leadership: “Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid is getting ready to dominate. Barcelona and the rest of the world have been warned: a new era is beginning.”
The Road to the Semifinal
Both Real Madrid and PSG arrive at this stage after solid domestic campaigns and strong performances in the Club World Cup. Luis Enrique’s side is aiming to reach their first final in the tournament, while the Spanish club hopes to continue expanding its legendary international résumé.
The winner of this encounter will face Chelsea on Sunday, once again at MetLife Stadium. While PSG boasts a star-studded lineup and comes in on form, for Gareth Bale and many Madrid fans, the outcome seems already written: Los Blancos will be back in another final.
