Cristiano Ronaldo Warned Manchester City and Al-Hilal Agreed With the Portuguese.
Cristiano Ronaldo has no plans to slow down. At 39, the Portuguese superstar has extended his contract with Al-Nassrfor two more years, making it clear that his mission remains the same: to win trophies in Saudi Arabia and help elevate the local league to global prominence.
A New Chapter, Same Goal: Winning
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has committed to continuing his journey in the Middle East, signing a new deal that will keep him at the club past his 42nd birthday. Despite ongoing speculation about his future, Ronaldo reaffirms his commitment to Al-Nassr and the ambitious project he is helping lead.
“My goal is always to win something important for Al-Nassr. And of course, I still believe in that. That’s why I renewed for two more years—because I believe I will be a champion in Saudi Arabia.”
Since his arrival in 2023, Ronaldo has played 111 matches and scored 99 goals for Al-Nassr. However, he has only lifted one trophy the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023 a modest count by his standards, which he’s determined to improve.
Saudi Pro League Among the Best, Says CR7
Ronaldo also used the occasion to reiterate his bold claim that the Saudi Pro League already ranks among the top five leagues in the world.
“Of course, we’re still improving, but I believe we’re already among the top five. We’ve shown over the past two years that the league is growing all the time,” he said.
The Portugal captain also had a sharp message for his critics:
“Only people who’ve never played in Saudi Arabia and don’t understand football say this league isn’t in the top five. I 100% stand by my words, and the players here know exactly what I’m talking about.”
Cristiano Legacy in the Middle East
Despite receiving offers to leave, Ronaldo chose to stay. His influence stretches far beyond the pitch: he’s been instrumental in attracting other global stars, boosting the league’s visibility, and transforming Al-Nassr into a club with international ambitions.
Cristiano Ronaldo is not only chasing trophies he’s building a legacy: to position Saudi football among the global elite. And if there’s one thing that’s certain, it’s that he remains the driving force behind that dream.
