The Little Bosterito Arrives at the Club World Cup
Amid the celebrations surrounding Boca Juniors’ journey in the 2025 Club World Cup, it wasn’t a player or a celebrity who captured everyone’s attention—but a restored Fiat 600 nicknamed El Bosterito. This unique vehicle, fully customized in blue and yellow, became an instant fan favorite thanks to its passionate owner, Gabriel.
“I had it shipped in pieces from Argentina. It stayed at my mom’s house in Pennsylvania for years,” Gabriel recalls. “But one day, I saw it again, and I broke down in tears. That’s when I knew I had to bring it to life. I restored it, painted it, and El Bosterito was born.”
A tribute to legends, built by hand
Every inch of El Bosterito tells a story. The car’s body is wrapped with images of Martín Palermo, Juan Román Riquelme, and Diego Maradona, three icons of Boca’s history. “I didn’t want just a painted car. I wanted something that really represented what Boca means to me.”
Inside, the details are handcrafted: hand-stitched leather seats, a makeshift fan for the Miami heat, and personal touches all over. “It’s an old car, there’s no AC, but I built it with passion.”
Four wheels, one passion
Gabriel uses El Bosterito beyond just matchdays. It goes to the grocery store, to the gym, and to events across different cities. To bring it to Miami, he loaded it onto a trailer and displayed it proudly outside the stadium.
“People stop in the street, they take pictures—even Bayern Munich fans wanted a selfie with it. That’s the beauty of football.”
After Boca’s match against the German side, Gabriel had one goal left:
“If Román signs the car… that’s it, I can die happy. I’ll even invite him over for a barbecue.”
