Ramos Scores, Rayados Draw Against European Giants

In one of their best performances of the year, Monterrey held Inter Milan to a 1-1 draw in their Club World Cup opener. Sergio Ramos headed in the equalizer in the 25th minute off a set-piece assisted by fellow Spaniard Óliver Torres, neutralizing an earlier strike from Lautaro Martínez in the 42nd minute.

Although Monterrey earned a valuable result, Ramos admitted the team made mistakes and must improve before facing River Plate in their next match.

“We did a lot of things right, but also got things wrong. We need to analyze and fix those mistakes because the game against River will be very demanding,” concluded Ramos.
