Messi, Suárez and Busquets Lead Inter Miami's Starting XI Against Al Ahly in the FIFA Club World Cup
The star trio will start for the Herons at Hard Rock Stadium in their Club World Cup 2025 opener.
Inter Miami Goes All-In With Its Star Attack
Leo Messi, Luis Suárez and Sergio Busquets headline the starting lineup for Inter Miami as they kick off their 2025 FIFA Club World Cup campaign against Al Ahly of Egypt at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Head coach Javier Mascherano has opted to stick with the core that powered the 5–1 win over Columbus Crew in their most recent MLS match.
Messi, the main attraction of the night, will form a forward line with fellow South American stars Suárez and Tadeo Allende. In midfield, Mascherano maintains trust in Telasco Segovia, Benjamin Cremaschi, and the ever-reliable Busquets to control the tempo.
Defensively, there are changes. Noah Allen, Maximiliano Joel Falcón Picart, Federico Redondo Solari, and Ian Fray form the backline, with Óscar Ustari starting in goal.
Trezeguet Starts in Debut for Al Ahly
For Al Ahly, Spanish manager José Riveiro has included new signing Trezeguet in the starting eleven. He will join Wessam Abou Ali and Emam Ashour in the attack, as the African giants aim to pull off an upset against a star-studded Inter Miami.
With a rich history in international competitions, Al Ahly will rely on its experience to counter the media-hyped power of Inter Miami, which enters the tournament with global superstars in its ranks.
